Booking dot com was established in 1996 in Amsterdam, Booking dot com was from a small Dutch start up to the largest travel e-commerce companies in the world. Booking dot com now have more than 17000 employees in 198 offices in 70 countries worldwide. Mission of Booking dot com is make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

TripAdvisor was founded by Stephen Kaufer, Langley Steinert, Nick Shanny, and Thomas Palka in February 2000. In 2009, TripAdvisor launched its official site in China. Since then it has indexed about 20,000 hotels and restaurants information and customer reviews, and made top lists, becoming one of the biggest travel websites in China as of July 2011.

Based around the popular TripAdvisor website, the app offers information and independent user reviews about hotels, restaurants, and things to do in a host of towns and cities across the planet.
